Battery energy storage systems

BESS support

01

Clarifying site feasibility and environmental impacts early in development

Grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) are increasingly being deployed to balance supply and demand and stabilize the grid as renewable energy expands, supported by policy measures and developing markets.
At the same time, establishing whether a site and layout are workable, and addressing the noise and visual concerns of local authorities and residents, can determine whether later stages proceed smoothly or face delays and rework.
We help establish the feasibility of BESS siting and layout at an early stage, visualize environmental impacts in objective materials, and prepare the practical information needed to move installation and construction forward.

Our services

03

Initial design support: site feasibility and land-use plans

We assess whether the site can accommodate the proposed equipment from multiple perspectives.
Examples include whether it falls within a designated disaster-related planning area, separation from nearby homes, ground slope, access routes and vehicle circulation within the site, including entry conditions and road widths.
We then prepare a land-use plan showing the equipment layout over satellite imagery. The scope of the assessment and information shown on the drawings can be tailored through discussion to suit the project’s purpose.

04

Environmental analysis: noise and visual impact

We analyze and organize how a proposed BESS layout relates to national and local environmental standards and the surrounding residential environment.
Noise simulation: specialist software evaluates noise through numerical results and visual maps, providing evidence for assessing compliance.
3D visual impact simulation: accurate 3D modeling visualizes the completed project, including multiple viewpoints, before-and-after comparisons, photomontages and comparisons with and without noise barriers.
